As Vertex Health turned one year old while I was on a family vacation to Switzerland (see pic of me atop Mt. Rigi), I took the opportunity to reflect on the journey that led me to this point. Little more than a year ago, I would have described myself as a “risk-averse entrepreneur”. I loved taking big swings, but always within the confines of a safe setting like Amazon or a health system. Then, a year ago, I decided to bet on myself. Grounded in the foundation I developed from years of experience in the corporate and healthcare worlds, I took a leap to launch a consulting/advisory firm – Vertex Health.

Vertex Health has allowed me to discover a whole new joy in my work while bringing my best self to the clients who put their faith in me. It provides me the autonomy to choose the missions I want to work on and the people I want to work with. Through hard work and determination I built a strong portfolio of diverse clients. The mutual exchange of learning in working with each client has created the dynamic I was looking for, and led to continued professional and personal growth.

While reflecting, I couldn’t help but think of all the fortune I’ve received in the last year that led to the success of Vertex Health. First, the support and expert advisory services that Amy Glasofer, PhD, RN brought to the table have proven invaluable in building Vertex Health and the work we provide to our clients.
